Indian ambassador designate, Vipul met with HE ambassador Ibrahim Yousuf Fakhro, the Director of Protocol, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saturday, according to a tweet by Indian embassy.
Vipul, who reached Doha Saturday, is an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1998 batch. He was serving as the joint secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, prior to his appointment as the ambassador of Qatar.
In his position as the joint secretary, Vipul has been in charge of India’s diplomatic engagement with the Gulf.
