Katara Summer Camp offers an enthralling and rich program for children participating in the third week of the events organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Qatar Red Crescent Society, Al Jazeera Media Institute, Nomas Center and Al-Rami Sport Club.
The camp primarily seeks to develop the knowledge and skills of participants through an integrated program that aims to develop their social and national values and spur them to explore and promote their capabilities and talents.
As part of the camp programme, the General Directorate of Civil Defense presented a workshop on how to get protected against accidents. Besides, Qatari Ardha trainings was provided by Nomas Center where children are trained on everything related to Ardha.
The programme also aims to revive the sports spirit among competitors in football and volleyball games to obtain the title of winner team and best marksman.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Endowments presented an awareness workshop on ablution, its virtues and the importance of purity.
Regarding the digital identity, Executive Officer with the International Communications Department of Al Jazeera Media Network Zainab Mohamed al-Hajji presented a workshop within Al Jazeera Media Network's participation in Al Jazeera's ambassadors' initiative through which children were able to get familiarised with digital identity, its types, uses and privacies.
The camp runs until August 15.
