The General Assembly of Al Rayyan Sports Club elected His Excellency Sheikh Al Qaqa bin Hamad al-Thani as President of the Club, and His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Saud al-Thani as Vice-President by acclamation for a period until 2024.
Engineer Mohamed al-Atwan was also appointed as general supervisor of the club during the general assembly meeting that was held on Sunday in the conference hall at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium after the quorum of the assembly was completed in the presence of the founding members and working members.The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Al Qaqa bin Hamad al-Thani, President of the Club, and representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
His Excellency Sheikh Al Qaqa bin Hamad al-Thani, President of Al Rayyan Club, thanked the previous administration, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Saud al-Thani and Ali Salem Afifa for their efforts over the past years, praising what they provided in the service of Al Rayyan Club.
He affirmed his happiness that the presidency of Al Rayyan Club is a great responsibility and an assignment that His Excellency is honoured to accept.
The goal of the new administration is to restore Al Rayyan Club to its correct position, to compete for all titles and tournaments as well as to provide a level that meets the aspirations and aspirations of the club’s fans and all its members.
Last Monday, the club had held its ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meetings during which the resignation of HE Sheikh Ali bin Saud al-Thani, the former club president and Ali Salem Afifa, the former vice-president, were accepted.
