HE Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kawari will receive the Excellence Award in Cultural Heritage on November 17, along with American personalities who have contributed in other fields.
The award will be presented at the celebration of the Council on Arab-American Relations (USA Arab Council Relations) on the 40th anniversary of its founding in 1983.
HE Dr al-Kawari is considered the first Arab figure to receive this honour, and was chosen by the council based on his contributions to the Arab and international cultural affairs, and his contributions to Arab and international thought through his dissertations, books, initiatives and humanitarian missions over the years.
