The artwork exhibition "SEIF" was inaugurated ON Tuesday at Al Markhiya Gallery featuring artworks of a contingent of artists, namely Azzam al-Mannai, Ismail Azzam and Ismail al-Rifai.
The exhibition includes a plethora of artworks created by the participating artists who belong to various fine art schools, as the event comes within the framework of the constant activities carried out by Al Markhiya Gallery which nurture local fine artworks, along with the gallery's keenness to keep up with artistic projects of the fine art innovators and further showcase their works to the art fans.
The exhibition reflects harmony between video art and photography, as well as harmony of sound with painting, putting the audience in front of an individual artistic experience, which is manifested in the surrounding world, through works presented by the participants.
In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Photographer al-Mannai said that his participation in the exhibition in collaboration with artists evidently blends photography art with fine art highlighting the aesthetical aspect of beaches as the subject matter of photography.
He outlined that he participates in the exhibition with 10 artistic photos and one video from across Qatar which highlight seashores in Al Thakhira, Fuwayrit and Al Ruwais and Khor Al Adaid.
The exhibition comes within Al Markhiya Gallery's keenness to offer an opportunity for fans to watch these miscellaneous artworks and get familiarised with the aesthetics of Qatari artworks and the Arab region, in addition to promoting artwork movement in Qatar to be a real hub for the contemporary artwork in the Arab region through holding numerous exhibitions and events.
