The meteorological department has forecast thundery rain with strong winds and poor visibility by noontime today in Qatar. It could be hazy by noon with chances of local rain clouds which could be thundery and carrying dust, the Meteorological Department said.
Offshore, it will be hazy with scattered clouds at times.
The wind inshore will be mainly northeasterly - northwesterly with a speed of 5 - 15kt, that can be gusting to 38kt at places with thundery rain.
Offshore, the wind will be mainly Northeasterly - Southeasterly with a speed of 3 - 13kt gusting to 18kt at times
Visibility will be 4 - 8km/2km or less at places by noon. Sea state inshore will be 1-2ft and 1-3ft that may rise to 5ft at times offshore.
On Friday, the country witnessed rainfall of moderate intensity in the southern areas in the evening. The total rainfall amount recorded on Friday, according to the observation stations of the Meteorological Department, were 16mm in Mukaines and 14mm in Al Karanah, the Department of Meteorology said in post on social media.
It rained at Al-Khair and AbuSamra areas also Friday.
