Indian schools across Qatar took part in the 77th Independence Day celebrations Tuesday with patriotism and enthusiasm.
At MES Indian School, principal Dr Hameeda Kadar hoisted the national flag.
Students presented a cultural programme that comprised a patriotic song, a dance depicting the glory of the nation, and a costume representation.
At Birla Public School, chairman Gope Shahani, director C V Rappai and management representative Chindhu Rappai hoisted the national flag, which was followed by the rendition of national anthem.
Those present included non-academics head Vinod Kumar K V, and vice-principals Radhika Rele and Edna Fernandez.
At MESIS, chief guest MES Indian School principal Kadar and administration and facilities head Rashid hoisted the national flag in the presence of MESIS principal Pramila Kannan. Students performed a patriotic dance and song.
At Rajagiri Public School (RPS) academic director Dr Prasant Palkkappillil hoisted the national flag. Principal Joshy Abraham spoke. Staff members presented a patriotic song.
At DPS-Monarch International School, president Hassan Chougule and other officials unfurled the national flag. The event was streamed live on the school Facebook page.
At Ideal Indian School, president Dr Hassan Kunhi M P unfurled the national flag. Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb also spoke.
At Olive International School, chairman Devis Edukulathur, Juttas Paul, principal Jacob Mathew and Sajeeth George Edakkolathur hoisted the national flag at Umm Salal and Khartiyath campuses.
At Podar Pearl School, the national flag was hoisted by president Sam Mathew followed by the national anthem.
The president of India's address was read out by him. Present on the occasion were the directors and teaching and non-teaching faculty from all the three campuses of the school.
At Noble International School Doha, the celebration commenced with hoisting of the national flag by treasurer Shoukath Ali T A J.
Academic director Muneer Ahammed, principal Shibu Abdul Rasheed and vice-principal (CCA) Shihabudheen spoke.
A group of students and teachers presented patriotic dance and songs.
