The Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC Qatar) recently organised a virtual technocrat meeting with All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The topic “South-South International Education in Post-pandemic Era: AICTE initiatives” was attended by more than 100 participants.
Dr T G Sitharam, the chairman of AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India, as well as the director of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, was the keynote speaker.
He presented objectives of AICTE education system, elements of human capital, AICTE shifting focus from imparting cognitive skills to non-cognitive skills, research innovation and entrepreneurship, AICTE initiative on girls and women Education; AICTE model curriculum, students development, policy awareness and stakeholder management, institutional development scheme, ATAL academy and hackathon at glance.
Nasser Jeham al-Kuwari, former chief executive officer of Q-Chem and Qatar Fuel Additives as well as chairman of CoreInfo, who was the guest of honour, spoke about education enhancement programme in Qatar.
Jaffer Us Sadik, president IBPC, inaugurated and addressed the gathering.
