His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held a meeting with President of Hungary Katalin Novak Monday at the Sandor Presidential Palace in Budapest.
At the outset of the meeting, the president welcomed His Highness the Amir and his accompanying delegation, wishing that the visit would contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries. She also expressed her congratulations to His Highness the Amir and the State of Qatar for the distinguished hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his thanks to the Hungarian president for the good reception and the generous hospitality. His Highness the Amir expressed his aspiration to develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially energy, economy, and investment. His Highness the Amir also invited the president to visit Doha.
During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing and advancing them in various fields, in addition to exchanging views on several regional and international developments.
A number of members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir attended the meeting. Also, several senior Hungarian officials attended the meeting.
His Highness the Amir was accorded an official reception ceremony upon his arrival at the presidential palace.
