Ooredoo Nation League Season 2 is now open until the end of September 2023, a statement said Tuesday. There will be four competitive installments of the season played online every weekend, using the tournament games FIFA 23, Rocket League, Valorant and Fortnite. Teams will each compete for a total of QR50,000 in prize money.
Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari, director of Public Relations at Ooredoo, said: “Our innovative Ooredoo Nation format invites each and every gamer to Upgrade Your World by joining a team to enter and even win this tournament. Backed by our superb 5G network, this initiative further demonstrates Ooredoo’s commitment to promoting eSports in the region, with all of the skills and opportunities they bring.”
The opening of the new season of Ooredoo Nation League, in collaboration with Dell Technologies, builds on the success of the previous season. The tournament, with teams playing FIFA 23, Rocket League, Valorant and League of Legends, attracted more than 32,000 viewers on the official platform, while Season 1 viewing/reach figures ranged from 12,000 (YouTube) to 514,000 (Instagram) and 892,000 (Facebook).
