The Indian embassy, in collaboration with Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), hosted a consular camp at Imara Healthcare, Asian Town, on September 8. More than 160 community members attended.
Indian embassy first secretary and ICBF co-ordinating officer Dr Vaibhav Tandale was the chief guest.
About 10 grievances were resolved at the camp. The ICBF Insurance Desk provided support to numerous families.
Passport services, document attestation, and PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) services were made available to the community at the camp.
Jaseela, who visited for document attestation, praised the ICBF and the embassy for organising such camps, making it convenient for individuals who face weekday challenges in visiting the embassy.
ICBF president Shanavas Bava reiterated the community's positive feedback about the camp and announced plans for organising similar camps in different areas of Qatar in the future.
Vice president Deepak Shetty, general secretary Varkey Boban, treasurer Kuldeep Kour, secretary Muhammed Kunhi, along with Zareena Ahad, Abdul Raoof Kondotty, Shankar Goud, Hamid Raza and advisory member Shashidar Hebbal co-ordinated the camp activities along with Imara Healthcare's staff.
During the earlier week, a consular camp at Dukhan distributed passports to applicants in the Dukhan area, facilitated by ICBF staff.
