‘The Winter King’, an exclusive series on TOD, showcases the timeless legend of King Arthur and his mythical knight's round table. Adapted from Bernard Cornwell's acclaimed Warlord Chronicles trilogy, the series portrays the drama and magic of the quest to reunite a then-fractured Britain. It portrays the high drama of friendships, rivalries, magic, myths, intrigue, and devastating betrayals.
‘The Winter King’ viewers are transported to a realm of breathtaking landscapes, castles and kingdoms and epic adventure escapism where Arthur Pendragon transforms from a humble exile to a reluctant leader. While the first episode sets the stage, the full story quickly unfolds with heart-pounding action and heroic battles.

This has romance at the heart of it between Nimue and Derfel, the two key characters. It's obviously got Arthur and Guinevere. So, although we've talked about the historical realism of it, it is also fantastic entertainment. I would say switch on for a rollercoaster ride.”
