The Yagi-Uda antennas, remnants of the early days of television, continue to be seen across many Doha rooftops despite becoming redundant decades ago with advances in broadcast technology. These antennas, developed by Japanese inventor Shintaro Uda and his colleague Hidetsugu Yagi in 1926, were in use all over the world for several decades. In Doha, these forgotten equipment serve as bird perches.
