UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts made by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries regionally and internationally, to achieve peace and reach calm in many issues and files, and their humanitarian and development efforts in the world.
This came during a meeting between Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the UN Headquarters Saturday night, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78) in New York, USA.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the GCC and the UN, in addition to the latest international developments of common interest aimed at enhancing international peace and security.
In turn, the GCC Secretary-General appreciated the efforts made by the UN General Assembly in coordination and preparation for the UNGA 78. (QNA)
