Qatar Society of Engineers has announced the organisation of Cybersecurity Forum, which will hold monthly panel discussions, with the aim of raising awareness and promoting digital fortification in the face of growing cyber challenges, a statement said Monday.
The initiative comes in response to the urgent need to raise awareness and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, and to strengthen preventive and responsive measures to protect vital systems and data.
Engineer Khalid bin Ahmed al-Nasr, chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Society of Engineers, stated the importance of integrating the efforts of all parties concerned, from the government and private sectors, to effectively address cyber threats.
The first discussion, on the current and emerging cyber threats, was held on September 21, in Katara - Cultural Village, Building 15, in the presence of a group of experts and speakers who shared their experiences and visions in facing cyber challenges.
Engineer al-Nasr has urged all specialists and those interested in the field of cybersecurity to actively participate in this forum, as it will be a vital platform for communication and to provide best practices and solutions.
