Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the park has been designed to to create a green and healthy atmosphere that encourages social interaction among the residents of the area and visitors.
The park includes benches, a kids play area, a sports activity area with fitness equipment, solar-powered lighting poles, surveillance cameras, a security room, spaces for setting up kiosks, and toilets. Additionally, it features a diverse range of plants and trees that enhance its aesthetic appeal. Further, there is a dedicated walking, jogging, and cycling track. Green spaces and landscapes cover around 70% of the park.
The park overlooks three streets and serves all the residents of the area, especially streets 402, 404, 405, and 416, alongside hundreds of residential units in the area. Its design has been carefully integrated with the residential area's design to make it easily accessible from all directions. The park has multiple entrances and exits clearly visible to visitors. Besides, the entity executing the project has established all the necessary infrastructure works at the park's site, including the irrigation, electricity, and drainage networks.
Al-Thumama Park is located in an area that was lacking green spaces and parks, and its opening provides residents with a nearby recreational area easily accessible on foot.
