The Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council participated in the 20th Annual Meeting for the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum in Kyoto.
The forum held from October 1-3 saw the participation of nearly 1,500 global leaders in science and technology, policymaking, business, and media from over 80 countries, regions, and international organisations.
The QRDI Council led a delegation of representatives from the ministries of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Commerce and Industry (MoCI) and Environment and Climate Change (MoECC).
Simultaneously, the participation of the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and Qatar University (QU) representatives in the Youth Leaders Programme, a forum-side activity, demonstrates Qatar's commitment to global knowledge exchange and collaboration.
On the sideline, QRDI Council officials held several meetings, including meeting with Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology.
Entities were represented by the QRDI’s international relations and partnerships director Hind A Zaki and international relations & partnerships manager Sheikh Abdulla Mubarak al-Thani, the MoFA’s director of Information Technology Abdulaziz Mohamed al-Naemi, the MoCI’s director of Commercial Registration & Licences Department Ayeth Menahi al-Qahtani, the MoECC’s technical office manager and research focal point Hussain Saad Hussain al-Kubaisi, UDST assistant professor Dr Amin Esmaeili, HBKU College of Health & Life Sciences research associate Dr Maisa al-Kailani, and Abdulaziz al-Ali, director of KINDI Centre for Computing Research at QU College of Engineering.
