An earthquake measuring 5.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tonga on Tuesday.
The US Geological Survey said that the earthquake occurred 62 kilometers from the village of Hihifo, at a depth of 25 kilometers.
So far, there have been no reports of human loss or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
Tonga is an archipelago of 176 scattered islands in the South Pacific Ocean, of which only 52 are inhabited. (QNA)
