International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha celebrated the National Day of Turkmenistan, in the presence of HE the Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the Expo 2023 Doha Committee Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie, HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali al-Thani, HE the Minister of State and President of the Qatar National Library Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, and several officials from Turkmenistan, in addition to the staff of Turkmenistan's embassy and members of the Turkmen community in Qatar.
HE Dr al-Subaie congratulated the Turkmen community on this occasion, welcoming them to their second country, Qatar, wishing them further progress, excellence and prosperity.
The celebration included a range of cultural and artistic activities that showcased the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of the Turkmen people. Several commissioners of participating countries pavilions at Expo expressed their happiness in being part of this significant global event. They also praised the crucial role played by the organising committee of Expo 2023 Doha in providing support to all participating pavilions and swiftly overcoming any obstacles to ensure the exhibition meets its desired objectives.
The pavilion of Turkmenistan is situated in the International Zone, where visitors are welcomed by the "Akhal-Teke" horses at the entrance, symbolising national pride.
The pavilion, distinguished by its creative design that blends authenticity with modernity, narrates the journey of Turkmenistan, its history, and its civilisation throughout the ages. Additionally, the pavilion features various plants for which the country is renowned, highlighting its achievements in environmental preservation, water management, and sustainability.
