Qatar Charity (QC) has launched a relief campaign titled 'For Palestine' to meet the urgent humanitarian needs in the areas of food security, shelter and health.
"The campaign comes as part of QC’s humanitarian duty to alleviate the suffering of the affected Palestinian people in this challenging time," a statement said.
The campaign aims to contribute to providing fuel for hospitals and vital facilities, essential medical treatments for the wounded, and food for needy families. It also seeks to meet safety and disease prevention needs, in addition to providing blankets and shelter supplies to alleviate the suffering of families who have lost their homes and are now living in the open.
Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO’s assistant for the Resources Development and Media Sector at QC, said: "The current challenging humanitarian conditions in Palestine call for solidarity with our brothers there, emphasising the need to support humanitarian and relief efforts to meet the basic needs."
He urged benefactors, companies and other commercial entities in Qatar to support QC 'For Palestine' campaign, to enable it to reach the largest number of the affected and to meet their urgent humanitarian needs. He noted that the support for the brothers and sisters in Palestine today is more crucial than ever before.
People can donate through QC website (qch.qa/gaza), in addition to dialing hotline 44290000, for donating. Donations can also be made at QC’s branches and collection points across the country.
