The First Heart Failure Conference in Qatar, organised by Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Heart Hospital, is set to begin Thursday at Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Centre.The three-day conference, is the first of its kind in Qatar and one of the most important cardiology conferences in the region, bringing together a large gathering of cardiologists from Qatar, the Gulf, and around the world to discuss the most recent advances in the management of heart failure patients.The programme includes lectures and sessions addressing the latest developments in medication treatment for heart muscle, the latest research findings, and the role of heart organisations in the advancement of heart failure management. There are also workshops and specialised lectures by international experts to discuss heart transplants, their approaches, and their importance for heart failure patients who do not respond to traditional treatments, as well as the treatment of heart conditions in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation.Dr Nidal Asaad, CEO and medical director of the Heart Hospital said: "The conference hosts local, regional, and international experts in the field of heart failure.
