Qatar participates in high-level meeting of officials concerned with poverty reduction and growth trust

The State of Qatar took part in the high-level meeting of officials concerned with Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust (PRGT), which was held on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, in session in Marrakesh, the Kingdom of Morocco, from October 9 to 15.

HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari represented the State of Qatar at the meeting which focused on the concerned countries support for PRGT, continuing efforts aimed at obtaining additional pledges, and ensuring that the fund is adequately financed in the medium and long term.

Qatar's participation in the meeting, which was chaired by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, is in line with its strategic partnership with the IMF and its commitment to strengthening multilateral efforts in order to overcome the challenges facing the global economy. (QNA)
