Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah underscored Saudi Arabia's rejection of calls for forced displacement of the Palestinian people from Gaza, condemning the targeting of civilians in any form. This came during his meeting on Saturday with the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during which the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed Saudi Arabia's call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza and its surroundings and lifting the siege of Gaza in alignment with the international law, ensuring access of exigent humanitarian assistance from food and medicine, as well as the need for exerting collective and quick efforts to halt the unabated cycle of violence and all forms of military escalation against civilians to prevent a humanitarian disaster. The priority is centered on preventing the death of more innocent civilians due to the constant cycle of violence, he outlined, emphasizing the importance of Israel's commitment to international humanitarian law. He stressed that any acts that contravene international law and international humanitarian law will exacerbate the depth of the current crisis and subsequently increase the suffering in that area.Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs added that dialogue is the only path to find a just, political, and comprehensive solution for the conflict, stressing that the international community should uphold its responsibility to halt the violence and give impetus to the peace process in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council, UN General Assembly and Arab peace initiative.
