At least 49 Palestinians, most of them women and children, were martyred Monday in a series of air raids launched by the Israeli occupation as part of its ongoing aggression against Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian news agency (WAFA), 30 Palestinians were martyred after the Israeli occupation bombed homes in the city of Khan Younis and Al-Amal neighborhood.
In addition, 16 others were martyred, including children, after the occupation warplanes targeted a house in Nuseirat camp. Three more were martyred also in the bombing of a house in Jabaliya camp in northern Gaza Strip.
More than 1,000 people were still missing under the rubble of buildings destroyed by occupation aircraft in Gaza Strip.
On the other hand, one Palestinian was injured by live bullets in the foot during confrontations that broke out with Israeli forces in the Dheisheh camp, south of Bethlehem.
Earlier Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the number of Palestinian martyrs in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank has surged to 2,808, with at least 10,950 injured since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Oct. 7.
The statement noted that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip rose to 2,750 martyrs, while the number of wounded reached 9,700.
In the West Bank, the number of martyrs rose to 58 after todays announcement of the martyrdom of Rami Bilal Hassan in Tulkarm, while the number of the injured rose to more than 1,250. (QNA)
