Jamavar Doha, the multi-award winning pan-Indian restaurant at Sheraton Grand Doha, has welcomed back the renowned culinary director and executive chef, Surender Mohan, from the acclaimed Michelin-starred Jamavar London.
Guests will have the opportunity of 'Dining with Chef' as he takes centre stage in the kitchen, meticulously crafting a bespoke 4-course tasting featuring an array of his signature dishes as well Jamavar classics, a statement said yesterday.
Jamavar Doha is also set to unveil its winter menu, crafted by chef Surender Mohan, with appetisers including Malabar prawns, Kozhi Roast, and Tandoor dishes such as Dakshini Hamour and Tulsi Chicken Tikka.
The main course has new selections such as the Kumarakom Sea Bass Curry and Allepey Prawns. The desserts are Shahi Tukda and coconut cheesecake.
With nearly three decades of culinary expertise, chef Surender Mohan’s culinary career draws inspiration from India's rich royal heritage and encompasses time-honoured cooking techniques passed down through generations. Among his culinary treasures are secret recipes imparted to him by the esteemed Nair family matriarch, Leela Nair.
Jamavar Doha is open Saturday to Wednesday from 12:30 pm until midnight and Thursday & Friday from 12:30pm until 1 am.
