The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs' Department of Zakat Affairs Director, Saad Omran al-Kuwari, said Wednesday that the department provided QR174mn aid to eligible families in Qatar in 2022.

Under the patronage of HE the Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem al-Ghanem, the forum was organised by the Department of Zakat Affairs in co-operation with the GCC Secretariat General.
He added that the participants are keen on putting the training they received into action, particularly creativity in Zakat project marketing.
The Head of the Zakat Services Division and chairperson of the forum's organising committee, Mohamed Jaber al-Baridi, said that 26 trainees from GCC member Zakat agencies took part in the forum, benefiting from its training, which should reflect positively on the work of the Zakat agencies.
