More than 160 Indian expatriates benefited from a consular camp held by the embassy, with the support of the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), in Al Khor. The services offered included passport renewal, attestation, police clearance certificate, and additional consular assistance.ICBF president Shanavas Bava highlighted the significant demand for such camps. He also commended the dedicated efforts of the ICBF team, including other members of the managing committee, embassy officials, and ICBF staff for ensuring the smooth conduct of the consular services during the camp.The ICBF insurance was also promoted at the camp, allowing attendees to enroll. Vice president Deepak Shetty, general secretary Varkey Boban, treasurer Kuldeep Kour, secretary Muhamed Kunhi, managing committee members Zareena Ahad, and Shankar Goud, along with community volunteers, ensured the efficient delivery of consular assistance and maintaining order during the event.Jins Jose, one of the main volunteers responsible for registration, and Jayapal Madhavan, who arranged the venue in Al Khor, affirmed the positive impact the camp had on the beneficiaries.The venue, Al Khor Korbay Residency, has also hosted the consular camp earlier, with the support of manager Rajesh, an ICBF statement added.
