The Criminal Investigation Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) arrested an Asian for forging a number of official documents with the aim of fulfilling the requirements for the sponsorship of families of some residents who did not meet the eligibility criteria.According to a statement by MoI on its official X account, 51 individuals who had financial transactions with the accused were summoned. They were referred, along with the seized items, to the Economic and Cyber Crimes Combating Department to take the necessary legal actions.When confronted, the main accused confessed to forging several documents (ID cards, housing contracts, bank account statements and salary certificates), using forged stamps from government entities, banks, companies and others. He was found in possession of the devices and tools used in forgery, along with 64 forged stamps.
