HE Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Jasem Mohammed Al Budaiwi has expressed his strong condemnation of the Israeli military's targeting of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip. He considered the massacre at Jabalia camp to be a heinous war crime committed by Israeli occupation forces against innocent people in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the GCC Secretary-General described the heinous crime, which resulted in many martyrs and injuries, as a clear indication of the inhumane and unethical Israeli escalation against the Palestinians. He stated that this is a violation of international laws, customs, and conventions, especially the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued on Oct. 27, 2023, and that the attacks confirm Israel's disregard for the international community and the UN's resolutions.
Al Budaiwi reiterated the importance of the international community, especially the Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities and duties and work towards a ceasefire and the implementation of a humanitarian truce to preserve the lives of civilians and allow immediate entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation warplanes had bombed an entire residential neighborhood in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip Tuesday night, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of Palestinian civilians, most of whom are children and women.
