The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), in collaboration with the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Sunday inaugurated the sixth exhibition "Creators of Visual Arts" for the academic year 2023-2024 under the title "Art and Science."
HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali al-Jabr al-Nuaimi and Qatar Museums acting CEO Mohammed Saad al-Rumaihi were present at the opening at the MIA.
The exhibition featuring 398 artworks by students and teachers from public, international, and private schools will continue until December 5. Maryam Noman al-Emadi, director of the Educational Guidance Department, described the event as an educational and cultural necessity.
MIA deputy director Salem Abdullah al-Aswad invited students to participate in the art workshops and academic and cultural programme that comply with the curriculum for all educational levels.
The exhibition is accompanied by art workshops at a rate of two seminars per week, to start Tuesday at the MIA. On the sidelines of the exhibition, an artistic and cultural symposium entitled "The Dialectic of the Relationship between Art and Science" will be held on November 16.
Dr. Amr Aboul Hoda, arts guidance specialist at the MoEHE and a group of art professors at universities and specialists in artistic and cultural institutions will moderate the seminar.
