Qatar Toastmasters Club (QTM) commemorated its 600th meeting, a landmark achievement highlighting the 26 year legacy, a statement said.
The event, themed 'Where Leaders are Made,' commenced with QTM president Reem al-Mansoori's welcome address.
“A pinnacle goal for the club goes beyond developing individuals to contributing to the sustainable development of our country where developing human capital is one of its pillars,” she said.
QTM member and District 116 public relations manager Sudhir Gujar navigated the proceedings.
Prominent past leaders, including George Thomas, Thayalan Kailayapillai, and Sabeena M K, reminisced about their experiences with QTM.
Shajil Kader and Saleha-Ysa Chandna led their respective table topics segments.
A panel discussion on 'Communication Skills for Sustainable Development' was moderated by al-Mansoori. The panellists were Dr Dena al-Thani from Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Alhasan Al-Samarraie, Co-founder of Applab.
Past president Williams Antony provided feedback on the meeting's proceedings. Shiban Khan, Rukhsana Khan, Divya Gokul, and Lahiru Mahadura were recognised for their exceptional contributions within the club.
