Fifteen Palestinians, including eight children, were martyred, and several others injured, in deadly airstrikes launched by the Israeli occupation forces on areas in southern and northern Gaza Strip on Sunday evening.Medical sources reported that nine citizens, including two children, were killed when an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential apartment in one of the towers in the city of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Three children were martyred when an airstrike hit a civilian vehicle on Al Shifa Street in the western part of the city, while another child succumbed to wounds sustained earlier today in an attack on the Al Mawassi area in the western part of the city.In the northern Gaza Strip, two children were martyred in an Israeli artillery bombardment on the Abed Rabbo area east of Jabalia.The Gaza Ministry of Health had announced on Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, had risen to 50,277 martyrs, in addition to 114,095 wounded.The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on Gaza on March 18, after a two-month ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on January 19, was broken. Despite the ceasefire, Israel continued its bombardments of various areas in Gaza over the two months, causing more martyrs and injuries. The occupation also refused to implement humanitarian protocols and intensified its crippling siege on the besieged Gaza Strip, which continues to face an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
