The Qatar Volleyball Federation (QVF) signed a joint co-operation agreement with its Uzbek counterpart in Doha Monday, as part of the two federations’ commitment to developing the game and promoting volleyball concepts and culture in both countries. The agreement, signed at the Qatar Football Association’s headquarters, aims to support youth player development programs, organise joint events and tournaments, and exchange expertise between coaches and referees. It also aims to hold training camps twice a year in both countries. The agreement also includes co-operation in the fields of technical training, the exchange of training curricula and materials, and the organisation of courses and seminars in accordance with the standards of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). The agreement was signed on behalf of the Qatari federation by Yousef Ahmed Kano, Secretary-General of QVF, and on behalf of the Uzbek side by Farkhod Sharipovich Alimov, Secretary-General of the Uzbek federation. The Qatari and Uzbek sides affirmed that the agreement represents a significant step forward in their joint efforts to strengthen sporting relations, advance the technical level of volleyball, and support the goals of the international sports and Olympic Movement.
