Two Qatari Armed Forces planes arrived Sunday in the city of Arish in the Arab Republic of Egypt, carrying 27 tons of aid, including food supplies provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, the Qatar Red Crescent Society, Qatar Charity, and the Christian Churches Steering Committee, in preparation to be transported to Gaza, bringing the total number of planes to 37, with a total of 1,219 tons of aid.
The Christian Churches Steering Committee had submitted a request to the State of Qatar to deliver aid in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from a severe shortage of basic necessities due to the ongoing war and difficulties in delivering assistance.
HE the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater received the aid at Arish International Airport.
This humanitarian aid is part of the State of Qatar's support for the Palestinian people and its full support for them during the current difficult humanitarian conditions.
