The Specialised Nutrition Company (Diet Center - Qatar) announced that it has obtained the second consecutive accreditation certificate from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 22000:2018 in the field of quality management in restaurants and bakeries.
Obtaining this new certificate came after a comprehensive review and extensive audit of the company’s system, which included the workflow mechanism and the level of efficiency of services, in addition to comprehensive safety procedures, a statement said yesterday.
This accreditation is considered as an acknowledgment of Diet Center’s competence in the field of food safety management system in terms of work mechanism and safety and quality standards with the aim of providing safe products to customers.
The ISO 22000:2018 certificate is a global standard that specifies requirements for a food safety management system (FSMS) by providing fixed standards that determine levels of quality and food safety for consumers.
Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Hamad al-Thani, vice chairman of Mohammed bin Hamad Holding Group, stated that obtaining this second certificate in the field of quality management is a distinguished achievement and added to the company’s journey, as "this accreditation gives us a competitive advantage in the field of food safety."
He thanked all employees, partners, and customers for this success, stressing the need to redouble efforts for more achievements, and establishing a culture of healthy food and changing food habits, in a way that contributes to achieving the company’s goals and directions towards a healthy society and healthy eating habits.
Diet Center is considered as one of the first establishments specialised in providing diet and healthy eating programmes in Qatar for almost 20 years. It has more than 15 diet programmes, 200 food items, three Diet Shop stores for healthy food items, an equipped specialised clinic, nutritionists, and more than 50 employees, the statement added.
