The Police Academy will hold the graduation of the sixth batch on January 18. A total of 124 students will attend the graduation. These include 93 students from Qatar and 31 from Jordan, Palestine, Iraq and Tunisia, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
Preparations are now in full swing at the Police Academy to complete the final arrangements for the graduation ceremony.
Members of the sixth batch joined the college in 2019 after passing the necessary tests and medical examinations. The graduates studied for four years at the Police College, receiving legal sciences, police sciences and military training that qualify them to be officers in the Ministry of Interior (MoI) or the military authorities to which they belong.
Over the past years, candidates have taken many courses for the bachelor’s programme in law and police science, in addition to the specialised courses they have obtained. These include the Thunderbolt course, skydiving and diving.
The Police Academy has made great achievements at the academic and training levels, making it one of the fastest-growing and most distinguished police colleges in the region. Enrollment in the Police College is done through the permanent committee for selecting military officer candidates.
The committee includes the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the rest of the military authorities in the country. The best cadres in military and sports training are selected after reviewing the applications.
The cadets include 93 students from Qatar and 31 from Jordan, Palestine, Iraq and Tunisia.
