The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) lost 139.41 points, or 1.30%, at the beginning of trading on Wednesday, reaching 10,569 points compared to Tuesday's closing.
The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in many sectors: Telecoms by 2.27%, Banks and Financial Services 1.66%; Insurance by 0.75%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.63%; Industrials by 0.60%; Transportation by 0.43%; and Real Estate by 0.17%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 3,692 transactions worth QR 114.209 million, distributed among 46.969 million shares. (QNA)
