HE the Chairman of General Authority of Customs (GAC) Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Jamal and a number of department directors from GAC participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Co-operation Council Customs Union Authority. According to a post shared by GAC on its official X account, the meeting was held via video conferencing. The meeting, according to the post, discussed completing the requirements for establishing the Customs Union while presenting the level of progress in the projects for establishing the Union. Also, the most important achievements and next steps, the challenges and support required to follow up on the executive plan were discussed in the meeting. The officials spoke about the establishment of project management and its organisational structure and other topics included in the agenda. The meeting comes within the periodic meetings of the Board of Directors of the Union Authority to enhance co-operation between the Council countries in all fields and common customs procedures.
