The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) held two exhibitions on Yemen's arts, creativity and civilisation. Katara General Manager Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti opened the art galleries that run through Jan 9 in co-operation with the Yemeni embassy in Doha.
HE the Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Kuwari, Yemeni ambassador to Qatar Rajeh Hussain Farhan Badi, a number of ambassadors accredited to the state, and art enthusiasts attended the inauguration.
The Yemeni ambassador hailed the opening of the exhibitions as a belief in the importance of cultural interaction and its role in building bridges of communication among peoples, strengthening their relations and consolidating the values of love, coexistence and dialogue. He thanked Katara for its constant keenness to highlight culture and art in Yemen, through its continuous support and hosting of Yemeni artistic and cultural events.
