After impressing fans from across the world during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 through an array of activities, Katara – the Cultural Village is preparing to receive fans during the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
Katara has decorated its alleys with flags of the participating countries and adorned the buildings to welcome the fans.
Katara is expected to be one of the prime destinations for fans during the tournament.
It will receive thousands of fans who are expected to enjoy the heritage buildings and shop from dozens of stores that provide all their requirements of clothing, fabrics, various fashions, accessories, gifts and heritage products.
Several restaurants and cafes here offer local and Arab cuisine.
The Katara Ampitheatre has lined up programmes for music lovers.
Arab singers Modi and Rehab al-Shamrani will perform on January 27.
The Amphitheatre will host Lebanese artist Najwa Karam on February 1, French-Moroccan performer Amine Boudchar will perform on February 8, and Egyptian singer Amal Maher on February 11.
The Katara International Arabian Horse Festival will run from February 1-11, showcasing different purebred horses in competition.
