Gold prices recovered Tuesday from a three-week low hit the previous session, supported by a pullback in the US dollar.

Spot gold was up 0.2% at $2,032.73 per ounce, after hitting a three-week low on Monday.

US gold futures rose 0.3% to $2,038.90 per ounce.

The dollar index dropped on Tuesday, one day after recording its biggest decline in two weeks, which supported the prices of the precious metal.

As for other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.1% to $23.11 per ounce, platinum jumped 0.3% to $948.42, and palladium rose 0.6% to $1,003.46. (QNA)
