The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 15.99 points, or 0.15%, at the beginning of trading on Wednesday to reach the level of 10,400 points, compared to yesterday's closing.
The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in five sectors: Telecoms by 0.67%; Industrials by 0.63%; Insurance by 0.08%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.07%; and Banks and Financial Services by 0.03%. However, the index saw a rise in Transportation by 0.60%; and Real Estate by 0.06%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 2,293 transactions worth QR 57.167 million, distributed to 22.907 million shares. (QNA)
