Oman national team coach Branko Ivankovic is fully ready to face Thailand Sunday at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium within Group F of the championship.
Speaking at a press conference Saturday ahead of the meet, Ivankovic said clash with Thailand will be difficult and complex, but his squad promised to achieve victory, reap the three points, and perform well, notwithstanding the strong and difficult group his team are included in.
Commenting on the defeat in Saudi Arabia match, Ivankovic said the Saudi squad performed very well, though he brags about the counterattacks the Omani players made during that confrontation, he said.
Ivankovic emphasized that he is going to maintain the same mode of playing after his team fully prepared for Sunday's match, in terms of defense and attack, indicating that his players are inured to play under pressures, because football needs such massive pressures.
The Omani team have been prepared to overcome all pressures, Ivankovic affirmed, adding that since the opener, there have been many surprises in results during the championship.
Omani footballer Salah Al-Yahyaei said Thailand are strong and organized with a style different from Saudi Arabia, but that his squad are determined to win and reap the three points. (QNA)
