Turkey, Iran agree on importance of avoiding steps that threaten regional stability, says Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he came to terms with Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on the importance of avoiding any steps that would further threaten the security and stability of the region.Erdogan told a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart in Ankara, that the two sides once again affirmed their support for the just Palestinian cause, and renewed their determination to continue cooperation on it.The two countries are making utmost efforts to stop the massacres, achieve a ceasefire, and pave the way for lasting peace in the region, Erdogan said.He also indicated that he discussed with his Iranian counterpart ending the inhumane Israeli attacks on Gaza as soon as possible, and taking urgent steps towards establishing a just and lasting peace.
