HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber and the Insurance Committee Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, presided over the committees first meeting of the year. The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman of the Committee Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Johani, along with committee members representing various insurance companies.The agenda of the meeting discussed enhancing cooperation among local insurance companies to better serve the national market, and competition between Qatar Financial Center-licensed companies and national insurance firms within the Qatari market.It also reviewed the participation of the Chambers Insurance Committee in determining pricing mechanisms for compulsory health insurance. Furthermore, it touched on re-examining commissions paid on compulsory car insurance. The Committee recommended arranging visits to relevant entities to further discuss the key topics raised during the meeting. Members also agreed to refer these issues to the technical team for automotive and compensation matters, who will submit their technical proposals for the Committees review.
