To promote linguistic diversity, preserve languages and their rich cultural heritage and to provide multilingual exposure to students, MES Indian School organised a ‘Multilingua Fest - Bhasha Sangam.’
Students presented an array of cultural performances. ‘Language Gala’, a unique amalgamation of languages of India captivated the audience and revealed the special relationship of languages and their glorious past.
School governing board members Ashraf Sharafudheen P T, Usman A T and principal Dr Hameeda Kadar were present.
The event witnessed a unique combination of languages, Arabic, French, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Students also presented poetic verses and visions of famous poets from the states of India. The Language Departments arranged exclusive stalls to depict the culture and food of the states.
North Indians' Association adviser Renu Malhotra, Karnataka Sangha Qatar president Mahesh Gowda, DC Books Literary Award winner Shamina Hisham, Maharashtra Mandal Doha president Rakesh Wagh, Qatar Tamizhar Sangam president Mani Bharathi, Andhra Kala Samiti president Venkappa, school officials, teachers and parents were present.
Arul Mozhi, Roopa Rahul, Uma Devi, Namitha Pradeep and Sabreena co-ordinated the event. Aishwarya Nair and Rizwa Fathima welcomed the gathering and proposed a vote of thanks, respectively.
