The participants at the challenges of Destination Imagination National Tournament 2024 concluded their activities at Qatar University College of Education on Saturday after a-two-day programme packed with various activities.
The tournament is organised by the Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the academic season 2023/2024. In this edition, 96 schools participated, represented by 202 teams comprising around 2,000 students from various educational stages: early childhood, elementary, intermediate, and secondary. The school teams compete in seven main challenges: engineering, technical, scientific, fine arts, community service, improvisation, and early childhood challenges.
Accordingly, HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani toured the various venues of the tournament and interacted with the participants at the various categories accompanied by a number of officials.
Further, an awards ceremony will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre on February 15 to honour the winners from different categories. The winning teams from each challenge will qualify to participate in the World Championship of the programme, which will be held in Kansas City, United States, in May.
