The First Youth Entrepreneur Forum concluded at Katara – the Cultural Village on Friday.
The forum was organised by the Youth Entrepreneur Club under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and Qatar Chamber (QC), with the participation of representatives of government and private institutions and dozens of entrepreneurs.
Over the course of two days, the forum reviewed successful experiences in entrepreneurship, establishing small companies, and transforming creative ideas into actual projects.
The working sessions included panel discussions and presentations from the founders of successful companies, where attendees shared their experiences, projects, strategies, as well as the challenges they faced.
Youth Entrepreneurs Club president Ibrahim Khaled al-Sulaiti said in remarks to the Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the first edition of the forum was successful in achieving its goals inspired by the Qatar National Vision 2030 in aspects related to youth and entrepreneurs, by supporting projects, encouraging and developing partnerships, and strengthening connections.
He pointed to the great support provided by HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani to empower Qatari youth and support entrepreneurs, the support provided by the Qatar Chamber to stimulate the business environment, and the contribution of Qatar University and the Scientific Club in promoting knowledge and science.
Al-Sulaiti reiterated the club's commitment to creating a supportive environment that contributes to realising the visions and dreams of young entrepreneurs in Qatar, and working to create a platform that enables them to realise their dreams and highlight their full potential.
Acting Qatar Chamber director-general Ali Saeed Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri expressed the body’s keenness, as a representative of the Qatar private sector, to support entrepreneurship, and noted the co-operation agreement the Chamber recently signed with the Youth Entrepreneurs Club to regulate the relationship between them in support of entrepreneurship.
