The Guides of MES Indian School attended a training camp organised by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association at Ideal Indian School on the theme ‘Sustainability and World Thinking Day.’
The camp started with a formal function followed by ‘Yell and Clap’ and ‘Patrol Flag Designing’. Various training sessions such as self-defence, knots, fire and safety and camp essentials were organised by different trainers of the school.
The orientation had the presence of the Qatar Scouts Association officials, including Sara al-Sultan (scouts activities consultant), Muna Jumah al-Mansouri (first scout activities expert), Paramjeet Kaur Bhullar (trainer/co-ordinator, Expats Schools, Qatar Scouts and Guides), and the school officials. The session concluded with the celebration of the birth anniversary of Lieutenant-General Baden Powel, the founder and first Chief Scout of the worldwide Scout Movement, and prize and certificate distribution for the winners of various events. MES Indian School won the second position in the ‘Yell and Clap’ competition.
