Qatar Chamber explores fostering co-operation with Estonia in technology

Officials of Qatar Chamber and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Information Technology of the Republic of Estonia recently held a meeting in Doha to discuss ways to enhance economic and commercial relations, investments, and opportunities in ICT, digitalisation, and cybersecurity.Qatar Chamber first vice-chairman Mohamed bin Towar al-Kuwari received Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Information Technology Tiit Riisalo and his accompanying delegation at the chamber’s headquarters, where they also discussed the possibility of establishing joint ventures and commercial alliances between Qatari and Estonian companies.Al-Kuwari highlighted the robust relationship between Qatar and Estonia, stressing the importance of strengthening co-operation between Qatari and Estonian companies in the above mentioned sectors, especially in light of Qatar’s great interest in technology and cybersecurity.He said the chamber is keen on enhancing co-operation and partnership between companies from both sides, noting that the time is appropriate for forging joint projects between Qatari and Estonian business owners and establishing partnerships, whether in Qatar or Estonia.Al-Kuwari also highlighted the possibility of holding a joint forum between Qatari and Estonian businessmen and company representatives to explore avenues of co-operation and investment opportunities.Riisalo emphasised the significance of fostering co-operation between Qatar Chamber and Estonian chambers of commerce, noting that Estonia is eager to sign a memorandum of understanding with Qatar Chamber to enhance co-operation, facilitate communication among businessmen, and collaborate in organising joint events.
